Irish Language In Australia

Many Australians are descendants of the Irish race and many of those Irish came here to Australia with two languages, Irish and English.

The Irish have left us with many Australian words that come directly from the language e.g  Brumby, Yakka,  Grouse, and Galore, Clontarf, Ballina. To name a few.

And if you listen closely on a still starry night you may hear the voices of your ancestors call you in Irish.

The journey of learning “The Irish” will have many happy revelations and will open up a rich hidden culture of Music, Sport, Dance, Film, Literature and Poetry and friendship from around the world.
